Sciatica:

sciatica

The term sciatica describes the symptoms of pain along the distribution of the sciatic nerve.  This path typically involves the lower back, posterior buttock, thigh, and occasionally calf and foot. Sciatica is typically caused by one of two things: a lumbar disc lesion or piriformis syndrome.  A disc lesion is by far the most common cause of sciatica symptoms.  Please click on lumbar disc lesion or piriformis syndrome to learn more.
